Bethel Farmer’s Market
Bethel Farmer’s Market
The Bethel Farmers' Market is one of the oldest markets in the state of Connecticut. It was started over two decades ago by a group of farmers most of whom still participate in the market. Today there are over 120 farmers' markets in the state, but we still strive to be the best. Continually we are working to offer a wide range of products everything from beautiful plants, to a wide array of fruits and veggies, soap and body products, baked goods, meats, eggs, handmade granola and awesome prepared foods. All of the vendors are located within 50 miles of Bethel making it a truly local food experience.
In a time when we are so concerned about food safety you can have piece of mind by shopping for the week at a local farmers market. At Bethel the smiling face that sold you a bunch of carrots or a pint of strawberries is the same person who turned over the soil in the spring, planted and nurtured the plant until it bore fruit. Get to know the person who grows your food, they are the best source of recipes and knowledge about the best way to prepare an item that you can find. Be fearless, try something that you never might have thought about before such as salsa verde using some tomatillos or a stir fry with bok choy. Happy Eating !
